It is simply moved because of a Juneteenth celebration. Now it will be a rally along Capital Blvd in N Raleigh along both street sides. Also the planners changes themes to more focus on the coalition organizing.

They moved it to Capital Blvd. So I am going to the rally in Clayton. There are several options in Wake/Johnston County. Find a spot that suits you if you don't want to stand along the sidewalks of Capital Blvd.! The organizers should have explained the reasons for the move, and made arrangements with the Raleigh police for a presence during the rally.

Where in Clayton? I will be there! Much closer than Raleigh, but Raleigh was previously the closest one, and I will be there if it is the closest. I'm a Raging Granny and we have some powerful songs! The one we're singing on DOL today is tame in comparison, but it all needs to be said/sung.

It is at the town square in Clayton 11:30-1:30? If you go to "No Kings" on the internet and put in the zip code it will give you the specifics!

It isn't that simple. Also the organizers (Christine, Kathryn, among others) did their best to navigate what would have been nice to have near the Capitol or legislative building. And completely shifted the operation north. Its not their responsibility to accommodate everyone downtown. They changed the theme specific to this event to focus towards the coalition of those organizing. Please show them some grace, although I don't believe you are being as critical as the initial commenter.

There will be a lot of visibility if hundreds of people line the streets. And that can be good.

Also, great newsletter, Karen. See you all on Tuesday at the NCGA

No it is on June 19th, but there was a previous event in downtown Raleigh celebrating Juneteenth on June 14t. So they moved the rally to both sides of Capital Blvd up near Triangle Town Center.

I found out about this Tues and didn't think there would still be slots tonight. It's an open meet & greet for Foushee tomorrow Sat in Fearrington (Chatham Co) hosted by the Chatham Co Dems. The last event (town hall) was also in Chatham Co, hosted by her office.

To say this was this was the most amazing heartfelt gathering with a couple of my elective reps is absolutely accurate. Robert Reives is a 2014 mentee of Foushee. And when they are in the same room, a living room in Fearrington in this case, it is so real, yet magical.
